saw the movie "the road home" recently. its a chinese movie made by the well known director yimou zhang, starring zhang ziyi. well made, nice touching storyline, beautiful visuals and a plain and effective background score. its set in a small village in china and about a village girl who falls in love with a teacher who comes to teach in the village school from the city. seeing it made me realize that chinese culture is pretty close to indian in many respects, you could pass off the movie as being set in an indian village.
